Welcome. This is a place for people who keep confusing motion with progress, planning with building, and guilt with virtue.
Idleness is not the problem. Dishonest idleness is.
“Later” is a liturgy. So is “one more tab.”
Rule 1
Do nothing honestly.
If you are resting, call it resting. If you are avoiding, call it avoiding. Stop laundering avoidance through “research.”
Rule 2
Do something badly.
When the impulse to be impressive appears, downshift. Produce the smallest ugly artifact that can exist in public.
